Eyebrow reconstruction following surgery and lash Eyebrow reconstruction following surgery and lash enhancement healed after 2 sessions.

My client underwent surgery on her right eyebrow, leaving her with a significant scar and complete hair loss in that area. It changed the way she saw herself every day.

During our consultation, she looked at me and said:
“I just want to look like me again.”

She brought me a photo taken before her surgery, and that became our blueprint. My goal wasn’t to create a new eyebrow; it was to restore what had been taken away.

This is what permanent makeup is truly about.

It’s not about following trends or chasing the latest brow style. It’s about restoring confidence, enhancing what makes you unique, and creating natural, long lasting results that help you feel like the best version of yourself.

Every face has a story. I’m grateful to be trusted with moments like these. 🤍

Another ReTone™️ success story. If I only showed Another ReTone™️ success story.

If I only showed you the photo on the left, I’m willing to bet that 99% of PMU artists would say the only solution was removal.

To be honest…so did I.

When this client first came to me, my professional recommendation was laser removal.
But my consultations aren’t just about what I think is best. They’re about understanding the person sitting in front of me, their goals, their concerns, and finding the safest path forward together.

Here’s the backstory…

She had been tattooing her brows for over 20 years with different artists using different pigments. She’s naturally blonde, and these old brows no longer complemented her beautiful features.

After talking for over an hour, I realized removal wasn’t the journey she wanted to take.
And if I turned her away, she was planning to go back to the artist who had been making the problem worse.

Now, about me, I only take on extreme corrections when I’m 100% confident I can improve them.

And this is the result.

These photos aren’t two weeks apart. They’re four months apart after just two CAREFULLY PLANNED sessions.

I don’t believe in packing the skin with pigment and hoping for the best. Every session has a purpose, allowing the skin to heal before making the next strategic move.

Do these brows look oversaturated now?

Or did they actually look more oversaturated before?

That’s the difference.

The ReTone™️ Method isn’t about reinventing color correction wheel. It’s about approaching it with strategy instead of guesswork.

Because once you truly understand what’s already in the skin, you’re already halfway to the solution.

That’s why I created the ReTone™️ Method.

You started using carbon pigments because you were You started using carbon pigments because you were told they stay true to color… until they don’t.

You’re not the problem.

You understand color theory.

But when it comes to healed results, your colors aren’t always what you expected.

Why?

Because color theory never changes. But the application does. So knowing the color wheel like a prayer won’t help you if you don’t combine that knowledge with pigment behaviour.

Carbon black behaves differently than iron oxide black. It’s like truffle oil and olive oil. Two oils with extremely different behaviours in a dish.
They require a different formula strategy, not a different pigment brand.

You don’t need another bottle on your shelf.

This is why i created BROW COLOR SCIENCE. A course designed to help you understand colorants, build predictable formulas, and gain confidence in your healed results.

Old permanent makeup doesn’t always need removal. Old permanent makeup doesn’t always need removal.

These brows were tattooed many years ago by someone else and faded unevenly over time.
Many artists would immediately recommend laser or removal.

But pigment doesn’t disappear randomly.
Skin is not paper.

This correction was achieved without loading the skin with titanium dioxide.
These 2 pictures were taken 1 year apart.

The ReTone™ Method focuses on:

• understanding pigment chemistry
• analyzing saturation levels
• strategic layering
• restoring balance to the color

Not covering.
Not overloading.
Not guessing.

Just controlled color correction.

If you’re an artist who struggles with corrections or often thinks removal is the only option…

PMU Questions Answered 📍Part 1 💬 Does permanent m PMU Questions Answered 📍Part 1 💬

Does permanent makeup hurt?

The answer depends on the area being treated.

✨ Brows are typically the least uncomfortable.
👁️ Eyeliner and 💋 lips can be a little more sensitive due to the thinner skin and higher nerve density.

The good news? We use topical numbing cream throughout the procedure to help keep you as comfortable as possible. Most clients are surprised by how manageable the experience actually is!

Have I ever talked someone OUT of getting permanen Have I ever talked someone OUT of getting permanent makeup? Absolutely.

Not everyone is a good candidate for PMU, and my job is to guide you toward the right decision, not just say yes to every appointment.

Here are 3 reasons I may recommend that you don’t get your brows tattooed:

✨ 1. You constantly change your brow style
If you love following trends and go from thin brows to thick brows (and back again), permanent makeup may not be the best choice. Brows should be timeless, not trend driven.

✨ 2. You’re looking to completely replace your makeup
Permanent makeup should enhance your features, not recreate a full face of makeup. Overly saturated brows may look great initially but often age less gracefully over time.

✨ 3. You dramatically alter your natural brow shape
If you regularly shave off large portions of your brows and draw them in a completely different position, you may be more likely to regret the tattoo in the future. Brows belong to your brow muscle and facial anatomy. Ignoring that anatomy can create results that look unnatural as your face changes over time.

My goal has never been to tattoo everyone who walks through my door.

My goal is to create results that still make sense years from now, not just today.

Permanent makeup is a long term decision, and sometimes the best answer is “not yet.”

🖤 Black is one of the most dominant colorants in p 🖤 Black is one of the most dominant colorants in permanent makeup.

As pigments age, they don’t always fade evenly. Over time, certain colorants can become more visible than others, leaving brows looking gray, or ashy.

This is where many artists make a critical mistake: choosing a color based on general pigment recommendations instead of understanding what’a really left in the skin.

Successful corrections aren’t about covering the unwanted color. They’re about understanding pigment composition, undertones, saturation, and selecting the right strategy to restore balance.

This is exactly the approach I teach inside the ReTone™ Method.

✨ Because brown is not a color, it’s a formula.

Most PMU color corrections fail for one simple rea Most PMU color corrections fail for one simple reason: artists skip the planning stage or keep adding colorants that are already present in skin.

Before I ever choose a pigment, I focus on 3 key strategies:

✨ Know where you’re starting from
Assess the existing pigment, saturation level, undertones, skin characteristics, and how the brows have healed over time.

✨ Know where you want to go
A successful correction starts with a clear destination. What is the desired healed result? What color balance are we trying to achieve?

✨ Know how to get there
This is where strategy matters. Understanding color theory, pigment composition, saturation, and layering allows you to create a correction plan that actually works.

These three principles are the foundation of my ReTone™ Method and the reason why my corrections are predictable, natural, and long-lasting.

If you’re tired of guessing your way through corrections and want a clear system you can follow, I’ve created a FREE guide that breaks down my entire correction process.

The most important part of any permanent makeup pr The most important part of any permanent makeup procedure happens before the tattooing even begins: the consultation.

Nothing should be left unsaid. That’s why I take the time to understand your goals, your daily routine, and what you truly want to achieve, while making sure the outcome is realistic and tailored specifically to you.

My client originally booked an eyelash enhancement, which is the most natural form of permanent eyeliner. However, during our consultation, we discovered that it wasn’t actually the best option for her.

✨ Here’s why:

📍 An eyelash enhancement is placed only within the lash line to create the illusion of fuller, darker lashes.

📍 When I asked about her daily makeup routine, she told me she wears a soft, smudged eyeliner every single day.

In her case, an eyelash enhancement alone would likely have felt unsatisfying because it wouldn’t have recreated the look she was used to or significantly simplified her morning routine.

Permanent makeup should never aim to completely replace your makeup. Instead, it should help you get to your desired look faster and with less effort every day.

For that reason, I recommended a soft shaded eyeliner with a defined lash line. This approach creates a naturally darker lash base while adding a subtle smoky effect to the eyelid. The result is elegant, timeless, and effortless.

At her touch up appointment, we can always add more depth or intensity if desired. With eyeliner, it’s always best to start conservatively.

✨ When it comes to permanent eyeliner, less is more.
Thickness and darkness can always be added over time, but they can’t always be taken away.

Ready to wake up with smudge free eyeliner every day?

Comment or DM “BOOK” and let’s create a look that’s right for you.

✨ The little things really do make the biggest dif ✨ The little things really do make the biggest difference.

A subtle brow enhancement can bring balance, definition, and symmetry to the face without looking overdone. No dramatic changes. No harsh makeup look. Just soft, natural refinement that helps your features shine.

Permanent makeup isn’t about changing who you are, it’s about enhancing what is already there. Sometimes a few carefully placed strokes are all it takes to create a fresher, more polished appearance every day.

Because beauty isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes it’s about doing just enough. 🤎

The biggest mistake people make when considering p The biggest mistake people make when considering permanent makeup is focusing on what they DON’T want instead of what they DO want.

This client spent years putting off permanent makeup because she was afraid of ending up with brows that looked too dark, too bold, or simply not like her.

So instead of asking, “What kind of brows do you want?” I asked:

“How do you want to feel when you look in the mirror in the morning?”

Her answer was simple:
✨ Fresh
✨ Polished
✨ Effortless
✨ Still herself

The goal was never to create new brows. The goal was to softly enhance what she already had, making sparse areas less noticeable while preserving her natural shape and expression.

These are her healed results after 2 months. Soft, balanced, and natural. Proof that permanent makeup doesn’t have to look obvious to make a difference.

Sometimes the best permanent makeup is the kind nobody notices… they just notice how refreshed you look.

Thinking about getting permanent eyeliner? Watch Thinking about getting permanent eyeliner?

Watch this first… because the wrong decision can stay with you for YEARS. 👀

Permanent eyeliner is not something you should rush into just because a photo looked good online. A beautiful result starts with choosing the RIGHT artist, understanding the process, and thinking long term, not just immediately after the procedure.

In this video, I’m sharing a few important things I truly believe every client should know BEFORE committing to permanent eyeliner ✨

✔️ Don’t choose based on price alone
✔️ Don’t ignore healed results
✔️ Don’t rush the process
✔️ Do your research carefully
✔️ Choose someone who understands skin, aging, and pigment behavior

Your eyes are one of the most delicate areas of the face. This procedure should enhance your beauty, not become something you regret later.

One of the biggest misconceptions about Permanent One of the biggest misconceptions about Permanent Makeup is thinking that beautiful results happen in one session.

They don’t.

Well done Permanent Makeup is a 2 step process, in some cases 3, for a reason.
The first session is about building the foundation carefully and conservatively, allowing the skin to heal, observing how the pigment retains, and respecting the skin.

The second session is where we refine, adjust, perfect, and build softly in layers if needed.

Why? Because skin is a living organ, not paper.
Trying to force full saturation leads to:
• overworked skin
• poor healing
• migration
• unnatural results
• excessive saturation that becomes difficult to change later on

Natural, long lasting Permanent Makeup is BUILT… not forced.

Less trauma.
More control.
Better healed results.
And the flexibility to evolve your brows over time instead of being stuck with something too heavy.

Good Permanent Makeup should age gracefully, not aggressively. ✨

ReTone™️ 3 years later. I often hear artists say ReTone™️ 3 years later.

I often hear artists saying:
“I want to see how those brows look after 6 months”
Or
“This case needed removal”

This is a case that’s 3 years old. My client first came to me with orange/red faded microblading.
I performed a color correction with a green base pigment.

So what happens next?
Maintenance!

Maintenance is so important not just for regular permanent makeup, but for corrections as well, because in order to maintain that color looking good, it needs to be touched up and rebalanced as the colors naturally fade over time.

The goal is not going darker each year, it’s to refresh.

In sequence, my client before, during, right after, after 3 years and following a refresh.

Don’t forget to book your touch ups when the color is staring to fade 🤓
Color is not supposed to get darker every year, but smarter!

Hair strokes or powder? Let’s clarify and brake a Hair strokes or powder?
Let’s clarify and brake a common myth!

One of the biggest misconceptions in Permanent Makeup is believing that hair strokes automatically look more natural… and powder brows automatically look bold.

That’s simply not true.

Natural results are not determined by the technique itself. But the execution and final result.

Hair strokes are beautiful for clients who want shape, movement, and dimension without a filled in effect. But they are not designed to create density or coverage.

Did you read that? 👆🏻👆🏻

Powder brows, when done correctly, are not harsh or “makeup looking.” A soft powder brow can heal airy, elegant, and incredibly natural while still giving more fullness and visibility.

The goal should never be “hair strokes vs powder.”
The goal should always be choosing the RIGHT technique for the RIGHT client and tailored to the final goal, not the inspo picture you rely on.

Natural is not a technique.
Natural is the GOAL. ✨

Have you been told that removal is the only soluti Have you been told that removal is the only solution for faded brows?

Have you corrected grey… only to watch them heal even greyer?

Or worse, have you avoided those clients completely because you weren’t confident in your plan?

I’ve been there. Every single one of those moments.

And here’s bottom truth

👩🏻‍🔬You can’t fix what you don’t understand.

I spent the last 12 years of my career studying patterns. Pigment behavior. What actually stays in the skin and why.

That’s how the ReTone™ Method was born.

This isn’t another “add this color to fix that” approach.

It’s a structured way to:
• Decode what’s already in the skin
• Understand why it healed that way
• Rebalance color with intention, not guesswork

And no… removal is NOT always the answer.

If you’re ready to stop layering pigment blindly and start correcting with clarity

I created a FREE webinar where I break down the principles behind ReTone™ and show you a completely different way to approach corrections.
